Muslims in Eastern Hainan, China, Report Growing Persecution

Voice of America News (VOA) reported on Wednesday the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is targeting a new Muslim community for persecution, much like the Uyghurs of Xinjiang province: a much smaller group called the Utsuls who live primarily on the tropical resort island of Hainan.

Human Rights Watch: China Arresting Uyghurs at Skyrocketing Rates

Authorities in western China’s Xinjiang region are formally prosecuting ethnic Uyghurs at a higher rate than in previous years, and have increased the length of prison sentences for the Turkic minority group native to the Central Asian territory, Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported on Wednesday.

China Attacks Joe Biden After He Justified Concentration Camps

Chinese state media did not relent in its attacks on President Joe Biden, publishing a column on Thursday accusing him of attempting to “ring-fence China,” a day after Biden appeared to justify the construction of over 1,000 concentration camps for ethnic minorities in the country.

Disney Silent on Revelations of Abuses in China’s Concentration Camps

In the latest example of corporate complicity through silence, the Walt Disney Co. has refused to comment on a recent report that China is overseeing the systematic rape of ethnic minority women in the western Xinjiang region. The BBC News reported earlier this month that women in China’s concentration camps for Uyghurs have been repeatedly raped, sexually abused, and tortured.

Chinese Foreign Minister Chants ‘China Has No Genocide’

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian responded to repeated claims that China is committing genocide against its ethnic Uyghur minority by repeatedly chanting “China has no genocide,” a bizarre moment that does not appear in the official transcript of his regular press briefing.

China on Uyghur Concentration Camps: U.S. ‘Commits Genocide’

Chinese state propaganda machine Global Times on Monday railed against western accusations that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has organized a genocide against the majority Muslim Uyghurs in the Xinjiang autonomous region via forced labor camps, asserting that the United States had in fact committed a genocide against Native Americans.

China: Missing Uyghurs Guilty of ‘Murder, Rape, Drug-Dealing’

The local Communist Party of Xinjiang, China — where authorities have built over 1,000 concentration camps to imprison millions of Uyghurs and other Muslims — claimed in remarks to the press Monday that Uyghurs who went missing there were guilty of “murder, rape,” and other crimes.
